he Finger Lakes are eleven long, narrow lakes in New York: Otisco, Skaneateles, Owasco, Cayuga, Seneca, Keuka, Canandaigua, Honeoye, Candice, Hemlock, Conesus. The name can be traced back to a Native American legend, which explains the lakes were formed when the great Spirit pressed his fingers on the land.
